About us

What is HARUMEKI?

HARUMEKI uses gold brocade fabric

This is a sustainable gift brand that transforms Japanese goods into "cute, desirable items that you'll want to own."

Although it is made from traditional materials, it is not too flashy and blends naturally into everyday life.

At the same time, it has a special feeling that makes it stand out and is unique to you.

All items are handmade and one-of-a-kind, so no one will have the same item as you, but they have a warm charm that makes you feel like you can connect with someone.

We want to make traditional Japanese beauty more accessible and more adorable! We want everyone to enjoy it.

HARUMEKI will continue to create a sustainable form of manufacturing while delivering a new form of Japanese culture.

Design that lives alongside tradition

Gold brocade, a Japanese tradition, has a beauty that has been passed down through the ages.

While respecting its charm, we reconstruct it with a design that fits into modern life, changing tradition from something special to something that brings comfort to everyday life.

Cherishing the warmth of handmade items

Each and every HARUMEKI item is handmade by a craftsman.

We value the warmth of handmade products, offering special value to loved ones by offering the "texture of the fabric" and "individual tailoring" that can never be achieved through mass production, and by creating an experience that fills the heart the moment the item is held in your hands, and an item that can be chosen as a special gift.

The charm of each unique item for your loved ones

Many of HARUMEKI's products are made from scraps that are left over during the production process of Hina dolls.

It is not a piece of cloth that was not chosen, but "another life with a new role to play."

Because each item is unique and cannot be mass-produced, we want to deliver sustainable and memorable value.

This is our "gift that thinks of the future."

Brand Story

The story of Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture, which all began with a desire to waste something

Scraps of gold brocade fabric are produced when making Hina dolls. It is common knowledge that they are discarded. However, it seems a shame to throw away such beautiful fabric.

We didn't have a store because we were manufacturing Hina dolls.

At first, we had them placed in local roadside stations and other shops, and gradually more and more customers started picking them up. It was impressive to see customers who picked them up exclaim "How cute!" with a smile on their face.

Then, with a strong desire to make brocade fabric, a traditional Japanese culture, more accessible, HARUMEKI was born.
