Kinran Pouch - Japanese goods made with luxurious traditional gold brocade fabric | HARUMEKI

"Every time you pick it up, your heart leaps. A generous amount of luxury that breathes tradition."

②Our thoughts on product creation (story)

"Kinran" is a fabric used to make the gorgeous costumes of Hina dolls. When making dolls, the scraps were simply discarded. This desire led to the creation of HARUMEKI, which uses scraps without hesitation. One of its signature items is the "Kinran Plenty Pouch."

③The three main points (benefits) of the product

1. Overwhelming fabric texture

Vintage gold is used lavishly not only on the surface but also on all parts that come into contact with your hands. You can enjoy the complex colors that change depending on the angle of the light and the three-dimensional effect that is unique to woven fabrics.

2. "Sustainability" that connects tradition to the future

We upcycle precious scraps of fabric that are produced during the production of Hina dolls in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture. This eco-friendly, top-quality material is readily available.

3. "Made in Takahashi" - craftsmanship shines through

We make Hina dolls in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture. Our craftsmen, who are experts in Hina dolls, carefully sew each doll, paying close attention to the pattern on the fabric.

④ Suggested usage scenarios

  • As a makeup pouch:Its gorgeousness will attract attention every time you take it out of your bag.

  • A gift for a special occasion:A gift filled with Japanese traditions and stories that shows your commitment to your loved one.

⑤Finally (encouragement to purchase)

"A one-of-a-kind pattern, just for you."Each pouch has a different look depending on how the fabric is cut, so you will receive a one-of-a-kind pouch.

  • Description:This pouch is made with a generous amount of gold brocade, the same fabric used for the luxurious costumes of Hina dolls. Crafted by artisans in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture, it is a sustainable and luxurious product. It also makes a great gift.

Traditional elegance, quietly protecting.

HARUMEKI Bespoke (Custom-made)

We want to create something that gently supports your daily life and encourages you. HARUMEKI Bespoke was born from this desire. Instead of choosing from pre-determined answers, you select the "wish" and "color" that you need most right now. This process itself becomes a special time for you to reflect on yourself.

Bringing the beauty of Hina dolls into your everyday sparkle.

Upcycling fabric scraps

The "kinran" (gold brocade) we use refers to the fabric scraps that come from the workshop in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture, where skilled artisans tailor the costumes for Hina dolls.
These are the highest quality fabrics, interwoven with gold thread, that were originally destined to shine as part of expensive Hina dolls. We aim to breathe new life into them, transforming them into items that fit modern lifestyles, rather than letting their potential go to waste. This is also our way of challenging ourselves to connect the beauty of traditional Japanese craftsmanship to the future.

Wishes entrusted to patterns. Wearing "Woven Words."

Woven language

Each beautiful pattern on kinran fabric holds a meaning passed down from ancient times.
Healthy growth, warding off evil, prosperity, good relationships. At HARUMEKI, we call these "Orikotoba" (woven words).
Whether you choose a color that intuitively draws you in, or select from the Orikotoba based on a wish you want to fulfill, the choice is yours. Items made from your chosen fabric are not just accessories, but function as your personal "amulet."
